Known globally as Italy’s “King of Cashmere,” Cucinelli built his luxury lifestyle brand from the ground up starting in 1978. The film explores both his entrepreneurial journey and his philosophy of “humanistic capitalism.”

Holmes and Jackson, who briefly dated during their time on Dawson’s Creek, have remained close friends for decades. Reflecting on their shared history, Jackson said during a March 10 appearance on Today:

“That time in my life would be for most people like their college years. She’s a lifelong friend now, and for us to be able to go back and do this again… was kind of magical.”

“Happy Hours”: A Love Story in Three Phases

Holmes’ film explores the story of former lovers who reconnect later in life, confronting old emotions with newfound maturity. Jackson revealed that the narrative unfolds across three stages of a relationship.

“Katie wrote this beautiful story for the two of us that is the three phases of a love story,” he explained. “We shot the fun part — the falling in love — and she’s cutting it together now. Hopefully it will give us the opportunity to go back and make the other two.”

With their renewed on‑screen partnership and enduring off‑screen bond, Holmes and Jackson continue to captivate longtime fans.
