Apparently, apart from the title and the spy pair, the production does not have many common features. This was confirmed by Donald Glover and Maya Erskine, the main actors.
The original starring Jolie and Pitt focused on a married couple who learn that they are spies hired to kill each other. Meanwhile, the series’ heroes are strangers who have abandoned their identities to become partners – both in espionage and in fake marriage.
The series is scheduled to debut on Amazon Prime next year.
