The cult BBC series “Fawlty Towers” returns. Work is underway on the revival of the British comedy starring John Cleese.
More than 40 years after the end of the second and final season of “Fawlty Towers”, Monty Python star John Cleese is writing new episodes of the series and will star in them alongside his daughter Camilla Cleese.
The new series will examine how the cynical and misanthropic Basil Fawlty navigates the modern world. Plot details are largely kept secret, but it is known that the script will focus on describing Basil’s relationship with the daughter whose existence he has just learned about. The heroes will run a hotel together. The action of the series will move to a warm island, and the hotel itself will be as intimate as the famous Fawlty Towers.
