John Travolta is stepping into a new creative chapter with Propeller One-Way Night Coach, a film he wrote, directed, produced and narrates — making it arguably the most personal project of his career. The first trailer has just been released, and the movie is set to premiere globally on Apple TV on May 29.
A Journey Back to the Golden Age of Aviation
The film is an adaptation of Travolta’s 1997 book of the same name, inspired by his lifelong passion for aviation. Set in the glamorous era when flying was an adventure, the story follows young Jeff — played by Clark Shotwell — an enthusiastic aviation lover embarking on a one-way cross‑country trip.
The flight makes stops in Pittsburgh, Chicago, Kansas City, Denver and Los Angeles, turning a simple journey into what Travolta’s narration calls “an experience I would never forget.” The trailer shows Jeff marveling at the novelty of “eating a hot dog at 600 miles an hour,” capturing the wonder of mid‑century air travel.

Ella Bleu Travolta Joins the Cast
Travolta’s 25‑year‑old daughter, Ella Bleu Travolta, stars as Doris, the warm and charismatic stewardess who guides Jeff through his airborne adventure. She appears alongside Kelly Eviston-Quinnett and Olga Hoffmann.
This marks another meaningful collaboration between father and daughter, adding a deeply personal layer to the film.

In April, the Cannes Film Festival announced that Propeller One-Way Night Coach will be featured among its premieres during the 2026 edition, running from May 12 to 23. The selection highlights the film’s artistic ambition and Travolta’s evolution as a filmmaker.
