Garfield returns. In 2024, a full-length animation about this iconic cat will be released in cinemas

According to the announcement, the full-length animation “The Garfield Movie” is to be a faithful transfer of Jim Davis’ comics to the cinema screen. Garfield will be voiced by famous actor Chris Pratt.

This year we had the opportunity to listen to Chris Pratt as Mario, and next year the animated film “The Garfield Movie” will be released, in which the title character will speak with Pratt’s voice.

The feature-length animation is to be a faithful transfer of Jim Davis’ comics to the cinema screen and will focus on Garfield’s relationship with his owner Jon Arbuckle and his dog Odie. In addition to Pratt, the cast includes such stars as Samuel L. Jackson, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Bowen Yang, Ving Rhames. The script was written by David Reynolds and directed by Mark Dindal. Work on the film began in 2016.

So far, Garfield has made two feature-length films, which were a combination of live-action and CGI productions. He was then voiced by Bill Murray, but the productions were not well received.
