The full trailer of the film “Maestro”, a biography of Leonard Bernstein, the music composer (West Side Story), has been released online. This is another directorial project by Bradley Cooper, who also plays the main role.
Bradley Cooper will show the story of Bernstein and his marriage to Felicia Montealegre (Carey Mulligan). The couple was married for almost 30 years, but many sources consider him to be homosexual. He described himself as half man, half woman.
Cooper made the film based on a script he wrote together with Josh Singer (Spotlight). Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg and Todd Phillips are producing the film with Cooper. In addition to Cooper and Mulligan, the film will feature Maya Hawke, Jeremy Strong, Matt Bomer and Sarah Silverman.
The film debuted at the Venice Festival, where it began fighting for the most important awards of the film season. It will hit selected theaters on November 22 and will appear on Netflix on December 20. Currently, there are 78 reviews of Cooper’s film on Rotten Tomatoes, of which 86% are positive.
