New evidence found that may prove Alec Baldwin’s guilt in the shooting on the set of the film “Rust”

Will Alec Baldwin stand trial in connection with the death of Halyna Hutchins? New evidence was found proving his guilt.

Alec Baldwin fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchins with a Colt .45 revolver on the set of the western “Rust”. Let us recall that the tragedy occurred on October 21, 2021, during a rehearsal for one of the scenes. The film’s director, Joel Souza, was also shot at that time. Alec Baldwin was initially charged with involuntary manslaughter of the operator’s death. Shortly thereafter, however, he was cleared of the charges, and the responsibility fell on Hanna Gutierrez-Reed, who was responsible for the weapon on the set of the film “Rust” on the day of the tragedy. It turns out that Alec Baldwin may end up on trial in connection with Hutchins’ death.

According to the findings of The Hollywood Reporter, in early October 2023, investigators investigating the tragedy on the set of the film “Rust” reported that the actor and other producers from El Dorado Pictures and Rust Movie Productions had committed gross negligence while filming the western. It cannot be ruled out that the team agreed to mix live ammunition with so-called ‘blanks’.

Deadline reported that on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, special prosecutors Kari Morrissey and Jason Lewis announced that they had found additional evidence in the tragedy that may indicate Alec Baldwin’s guilt. Therefore, the actor may soon be accused of unintentionally causing the death of Halyna Hutchins.

After finding new evidence against Alec Baldwin, his lawyers also issued a statement. They said they would answer all doubts in court.
