Sir Michael Caine is one of the greatest English actors of our time. He appeared in over 100 films. At the age of 90, he says it’s time to say goodbye to acting.
Caine devoted his entire life to his film career and for several decades – starting in the 1950s – he had the opportunity to appear in many famous films from various genres. Even in the last dozen or so years, he has played roles that are known all over the world. Among them, it is worth mentioning those that he played in Nolan’s films, such as “Inception”, “Interstellar”, or even the Batman trilogy.
In a recent interview he gave to the British daily The Telegraph, he admitted his acting career is probably coming to an end. He revealed that he had problems with walking.
Caine is one of two actors to have been nominated for an Academy Award (in the Leading Actor or Supporting Actor category) in every decade from 1960 to 2010 (the other is Jack Nicholson). He won two Oscars for Best Supporting Actor.
