“The Marvels” is the biggest financial flop in Marvel history in US cinemas

The famous Marvel studio is probably going through its worst moments, because, as official data on the money collected at the box office in American cinemas show, their latest film “The Marvels” is a flop. The film had the worst opening in cinemas in Marvel history.

The film, directed by Nii DaCosta and starring Brie Larson, Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris, among others, has performed negatively, seeing a significant drop in ticket sales compared to other Marvel films. “The Marvels” is the worst debut in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

“The Marvels,” on the weekend of Nov. 19, the film’s second weekend of release, dropped to third place with gross revenues of $10.2 million. This represents a drop of 78% if we compare it to the first weekend. “The Marvels” earned $65.4 million in its first weekend in the U.S. and $10.2 million in its second weekend.
