Van Damme is ashamed of his appearance in “Friends”?!

During the ten years of the series “Friends”, many stars appeared on the cult sitcom. Including Jean-Claude Van Damme, who played himself in the episode “The One After the Superbowl”, from the second season. Shortly before the sudden death of Matthew Perry, who played Chandler on the series, Van Damme recalled his cameo from season two.

In this episode, Monica and Rachel try to attract Van Damme’s attention while on a film set – but they finally give up when the star suggests they have a threesome.

In a conversation about the episode, the creators of “Friends” mentioned that the on-screen Van Damme did not differ much from how the actor actually behaved – he was unprofessional and unprepared, and additionally contributed to the discomfort of Cox and Aniston.

Here’s how Van Damme remembers appearing on “Friends.”

– My acting is so bad there and I look like a ham. I’m ashamed of myself. On the set, girls came to me and kissed me on the lips, I didn’t know what to do. It was strange, although they were very nice. I was happy because these beautiful girls said it was now the most popular series in the world. They were very open because they played there every day, I felt that everything was working like a well-oiled machine. – said Van Damme.
